| This was a view from the back door of my little "in town" adobe house early one summer evening. I had been reading a book about Hopi sacred places -- and that prayer sticks at one site had been stolen by looters. After this painting was completed, I felt the quiet peace of that evening and thought those fence posts were standing as diligent sentinels. |
